Program presentation Holland Dance Festival & birthday Nederlands Dans Theater

Last Monday The Nederlands Dans Theater celebrated their 50th birthday and presented the new company campaign and program for the new season, together with the Holland Dance Festival which will celebrate the 50 year jubilee of the Nederlands Dans Theater.

Managing Director Jet de Ranitz and Artistic Director Anders Hellstrom (leaving the company in late August) of the Nederlands Dans Theater explained the campaign which is called 'Challenging Dance'. This fall the Holland Dance Festival will celebrate the 50 year jubilee in a magnificent way and presented the different dance companies confirmed for the coming festival.

The Nederlands Dans Theater will kick off the Holland Dance Festival with the performance '50 years of challenging Dance', constisting of three world premieres. Artistic Director of the Holland Dance Festival Samuel Wuersten presented the program for the coming festival: a reunion of former dancers and choreographers of the Nederlands Dans Theater, gathering in The Hague from all over the world.

Dance lovers can expect well-known dancers and choreographers like Nacho Duato and his Compañía Nacional de Danza as well as companies like the Hubbard Street Dance Company that will present new work by Jim Vincent (the new Artistic Director of the Nederlands Dans Theater).
