On the program are two choreographies, both set to the penetrating music of Igor Stravinsky. Noces, by the Flemish choreographer Stijn Celis, is an intensely charged dance performed by a tableau of 24 dancers. The music is performed live in partnership with the ArtEZ Coservatory and Musica Vocale. The forces employed include four grand pianos, six percussionists, sixty choir members and four vocal soloists. Nils Christie created a moving version of Le Sacre du Printemps that is characterized by impressive ensemble pieces.
