For years, Holland Dance has been dedicated to guiding the development of amateur dancers. We do so by bringing together the best of two worlds: top amateurs get the opportunity to work with a renowned choreographer. For the new edition of Dance Date (previously called WisselWerk), national auditions were held in five regions.

There was overwhelming enthusiasm, and applications poured in from people all over the country hoping for a coveted place in one of the pieces by Jiři Kylian, Jérôme Meyer & Isabelle Chaffaud or ISH choreographer Marco Gerris. A total of eleven choreographers in five regions of the Netherlands have worked on a production that will be premiered at the Holland Dance Festival. The programme will then go on tour around the Netherlands.
