The masterclass will include some improvisation exercises and teaching of a piece of choreography from the repertoire of Jacoby&Pronk. The goal of Jacoby&Pronk is to create an innovative fusion of dance, visual arts and fashion. They will perform in the Holland Dance Festival 2012 with a mixed programme, including new work by the choreographer Itzik Galili.
Teacher Drew Jacoby
Drew Jacoby went on to study at School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She began her professional career at age 17 in San Francisco with Lines Ballet. In 2005 she was invited on Sylvie Guillem's Japan tour, where she performed principal roles alongside dancers from the Royal Ballet and Paris Opera Ballet. In 2007, she moved to New York City to begin her freelance career. In 2008 she cofounded her independent partnership, "Jacoby&Pronk," with former Dutch National Ballet star Rubinald Pronk. Jacoby&Pronk have guested with Dutch National Ballet and have performed multiple seasons with Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company, as well as engaging in their own projects all over the world
