From rebel to top of the bill

50 years of Nederlands Dans Theater – from a club of rebels in a fisherman’s house to one of the most renowned international dance companies in the world! In a unique talkshow setting,the audience will be given a special glimpse behind the scenes, through conversations, columns and provocative statements. Hosted by TV personality Chazia Mourali, NDT icons of past and present are given ‘carte blanche’ to tell about their lives as dancers and choreographers with one of the most
intriguing companies of this century and last century. The talkshows each have their own theme and different guests, covering the early years, the rise to fame in the seventies and the current status quo.

Chazia Mourali is a well-known presenter,
journalist and columnist. Though she has worked for RTL nieuws and Kenmerk – and was one of the figureheads of AT5 – Chazia is best known to the general public as the presenter of shows like De Zwakste Schakel, Char and the Achmea Kennisquiz. Chazia is currently writing columns and working for the NPS broadcasting organisation. As a freelancer, she also hosts debates on a variety of topics – in the Amsterdam cultural and political centre De Balie, for instance.
