Poppin’ & Boogaloo

Poppin’ and Boogaloo are both funk styles from California in the U.S. They are the precursors of the contemporary Hip-Hop dance styles you now see in video clips. Poppin’ started in the U.S.in the 70’s, at the same time as the Boogaloo. An important element is the tensing and relaxing of certain muscle groups and isolations. In the workshops, Lloyd will work on characteristic movements found in Poppin’, Robotics and Waving.
